Sustainability
We love to create new sustainable lighting
At Tangla Lighting and Living Limited , our strategy is to be ahead of the game. We believe it’s critical to gain experience and have a long term strategy when it comes to sustainability. We want to be prepared when the big green wave comes as it requires a whole new way of thinking, sourcing, developing, production and selling products.
For a circular business model, it’s necessary to be able to recycle your end-of-life products into new products of equivalent quality. Using recycled fabrics for our sustainable lampshades for example, doesn’t mean we already have a circular business model.Recycling is the process of converting waste into reusable material. In our case, this means converting used PET bottles, clothing and all sorts of production waste, into recycled fabrics for our lampshades. However, the circular economy goes right back to the beginning, preventing waste (and pollution) in the first place.
For this to happen in our industry we have a long way to go. Using recycled products is a very important first step on the circularity ladder as this will contribute to the goal of decreasing our ecological footprint (60% decrease by 2030). Beside this, it stimulates all sorts of new technical developments by increasing the value of recycled products, thereby decreasing the amount of down cycling.
At Tangla Lighting and Living Limited, our goal is to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to sustainability. We understand that achieving true sustainability requires long-term planning and a holistic approach to every aspect of our business, from sourcing and development to production and sales. One key component of sustainability is the circular economy, which involves recycling end-of-life products into new products of equivalent quality. While using recycled materials, such as recycled fabrics for our sustainable lampshades, is an important step towards circularity, it is only the beginning. The circular economy also involves preventing waste and pollution from the very start, which requires significant changes in the way we do business. To truly embrace circularity in our industry, we have a long way to go. However, by using recycled products and encouraging the development of new technologies that increase the value of recycled materials, we can take important steps towards decreasing our ecological footprint and reducing down cycling.

Our goal is to achieve a 80% reduction in our ecological footprint by 2030. In addition to using recycled materials and encouraging the development of new technologies, there are several other steps we are taking to reduce our ecological footprint and embrace circularity:
• Implementing energy-efficient production processes:
We are constantly looking for ways to reduce energy consumption and minimize waste in our manufacturing processes. This includes using renewable energy sources and implementing energy-efficient systems.
• Designing products for durability and reuse:
We design our products with durability in mind, using high-quality materials and construction techniques to ensure they last as long as possible. We also design products with reuse in mind, so that they can be repurposed or recycled at the end of their useful life.
• Partnering with suppliers who share our values:
We carefully select suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability and the circular economy, to ensure that our products are produced in a responsible manner.
By taking these steps, we are working towards creating a more sustainable and circular future for our company and our customers.
At Tangla Lighting and Living Limited , we started several related projects. Our main course of business is done by product development and creating new designs. By choosing recycled or natural materials, we significantly improve our ecological footprint. We are also looking for ways to develop products which are relatively easy to recycle, and we try to reduce our waste management. Step by step we learn, and we are truly inspired by all the new partners we met during this journey. Want to join us in our journey? Get in touch with us. We love to create new sustainable lighting.
