EnabLED program upgraded to 600 innovations.

Signify has always been at the forefront of technology developments, not least in the field of LED lighting. To promote and accelerate the adoption of LED technologies and stimulate vibrant competition between LED products and solutions, since 2008 with the launch of the EnabLED licensing program we made LED system-level inventions available to the market. In 2018 we had updated the program with the addition of 150 patent families and offered those to our licensees. Since then, we have continued to invest in developing new technologies and improvements that are useful for today’s and tomorrow’s products, in an effort to remain at the forefront of LED innovation. We constantly review our patent portfolio to ensure that our offering remains relevant to the market. Licensees have continued requesting broader access to the Signify patent portfolio. To respond to those requests and to continue to offer licensees the freedom to develop innovative products while minimizing the risk of infringing Signify’s patents, we have now decided to add more of our patented inventions to the EnabLED licensing program. This means that all participants in the program will now have access to 600 inventions that are protected by over 4,700 patents granted worldwide.
